I look forward to seeing Karkat’s white fluffy butt and Terezi’s horrible little pointy feet! :D :D This is GREAT!
KLIPSPRINGERS HAVE THE STUPIDEST POINTY STILETTO FEET I love it, it’s great.
But no, man, I’m super pumped for Gamzee’s stripes and Feferi’s Sexy Thigh Highs and Vriska’s goofy spots and Eridan’s bootystriping. Some of these antelope have really fun markings!
Anonymous asked: Muskox for Tavros, maybe?
I was waffling between that and Wild Water Buffalo, but I ended up going with the water buffalo. It has longer horns.
Here’s everyone who wasn’t in the first image!
Anonymous asked: What about this species? Bison latifrons
Oh man, dang, what perfect horns! I’ll keep it in mind for future applications, but I’m trying to stick with extant species for Centaurstuck (if you give me pleistocene mammals I’m liable to get too excited about them, whoops >.>)
For Tav - what about a megaloceros?? Looking at that rightmost one here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fi… XD You got me googling antlers YET AGAIN. Did you know there was a tiny antelope with antlers shaped like spoons?
I originally pegged him as a Megaloceros, actually! But like, I already use a Megaloceros for the Summoner in my Orkneystuck stuff and also I kinda want to keep everyone in extant species (because you allow me one extinct artiodactyl and that opens up all new doors for critters I can use).
I’m trying to find a non-Bos bovid antelope to use for Tav that matches his horns, and the best I’m finding is the Blue Wildebeest. Just. The idea of Moose!Tav entertains me so much and Karkat and Vriska are the only sad, lonely cervids in the whole group.
For Aradia, I think I’m going to use a Rough Fell sheep, because the ewes of that breed have the big, curly horns as well as the rams.
And man, what do you think I was doing last night, something productive? I have like a dozen wikipedia tabs open of various antelope horns :P
